ID-name
In: Data Management
ID-name is a unique name, which is adjoined to any data_vector in the data_base. This descriptor should be long 12 characters at most. A double click on the ID-name in the data_base tree allows you to change it. If you change it in the PragTic’s editor, only a copy of the editor’s content to a new data_vector with the new name is done.
Note, that there is another level of ID-names within the data_vectors themselves. A typical example can be e.g. data_vector with the ID-name LOAD_REG, where a definition of defined load regimes is preserved. The load regimes within this data_vector should be unique as well, but the uniqueness of the ID-name (or the ID-number in some cases) is required only within this data_vector scope.
There are ID-names which are reserved for a special use:
- ID-names describing the FE-model: COORDS, NIDTRANS, NODES, NTIS, NORMALS, ETIS, EIDTRANS, ELEMENTS, EGROUPS, EGVARS, RCONSTS, RCVALS;
- IP_ALL, N_ALL, E_ALL, N_NRM, which are all reserved for important sets in the FE-model;
- COORDSYS - reserved for Coordinate Systems;
- LOCPROP - reserved for Properties of Structure;
- MATERIAL - reserved for Material Properties;
- METHODS - reserved for Calculation Methods;
- ANA_SETUP - reserved for Setups of Analyses;
- LOAD_REG - reserved for description of Load Regimes;
